Hanam City adjoins Seoul and is located in the center of Gyeonggi-do.
The city adjoins Namjong-myeon, Gwangju City and Joan-myeon, Namyangju City in the east, Gangdong-gu and Songpa-gu, Seoul in the west and Jungbu-myeon, Gwangju City and Seongnam City in the south and it borders on Namyangju City in Han River in the north.
